Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to bin cleaning for households (domestic customers). Last updated 27 October 2026. Business customers are covered by our commercial terms.

1. Who we are

  • We / us: Ace Bin Cleaning Ltd, company number 15664903, registered office 49 Parry Road, Southampton, SO19 0HT. VAT registered. Registered with the ICO, reference ZC275620.
  • You: the householder who books a clean with us.
  • Contact: info@acebincleaning.co.uk, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

2. Our service

  • We clean household wheelie bins inside and out, then sanitise and deodorise them. The dirty water goes back into our tank, not down your drive or the drain.
  • We clean general waste, recycling and garden bins. Food waste bins are cleaned only alongside a general waste or recycling bin, not on their own. We don't clean glass bins.
  • Regular plans are every 4 weeks or every 8 weeks, on the same day as your council collection where possible. One-off cleans are also available.
  • We clean household bins in the areas listed on our website only.
  • We close over Christmas. Cleans that fall during the shutdown are moved, and we'll let you know the new date.

3. Booking and your right to cancel

  • You can book online at www.acebincleaning.co.uk/book. When you send your booking, you'll see a confirmation on screen. We'll then email you within 48 hours with your first clean date and how to pay. The contract starts when we confirm your booking.
  • Payment in advance: prepayment for your first clean, and for every one-off clean, is mandatory. We take it before we clean. You can cancel a prepaid clean up to 24 hours before it's due and we'll refund it in full.
  • Your 14-day right to cancel: because you book online, you can cancel your booking within 14 days of our confirmation, for any reason, by emailing info@acebincleaning.co.uk.
  • If you've asked us to clean within those 14 days, you can still cancel a regular plan, but you pay for any cleans already done. Once a one-off clean has been carried out, you can't cancel it.
  • We'll refund any money owed within 14 days of you cancelling.

Every 8 weeks, it's the first clean at £12 plus 6 cleans at £6.67, a saving of £1.33 a clean (food waste bins: £6 plus 6 cleans at £3.33). Existing customers renewing or switching to pre-pay don't pay the first clean: every 4 weeks £60 (12 cleans at £5; food waste £30, 12 at £2.50), every 8 weeks £40 (6 cleans at £6.67; food waste £20, 6 at £3.33), per bin.
  • We may change our prices. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can end your plan before the new price applies.

5. Payment

  • Your first clean and one-off cleans are paid in advance (section 3). After that, we invoice regular plan cleans after each clean, or once a year for pre-paid plans. Payment is due as set out in section 6.
  • You can pay by Direct Debit through GoCardless (for regular plans), by card, or by bank transfer using the first line of your address as the reference.
  • If a Direct Debit payment fails, we add a £1 failed payment fee to your next invoice.

6. Invoice payment schedule

  • Payment is due within 5 days of the invoice date.
  • Day 5: first payment reminder sent.
  • Day 10: second payment reminder sent.
  • Day 21: final reminder sent, with a £5 late payment fee applied.
  • Day 28: services suspended until full payment (including any late fees) is received.

7. Your clean day

  • We'll email you a reminder the day before each clean.
  • Please leave your bins at the roadside until 7pm on your clean day. You don't need to be home.
  • If your bins won't be out (for example, you're on holiday), email us by 9am on your clean day.
  • If the council hasn't emptied your bin, let us know, as we can't clean a full bin.

8. Missed cleans

  • If your bin isn't out, or the council hasn't emptied it, we won't charge for that clean. Please still let us know by 9am on your clean day if you can.
  • If we can't clean two times in a row because your bin isn't out or hasn't been emptied, and you didn't let us know, we'll suspend your account. Email us to restart your cleans.
  • If we miss a clean for our own reasons, there's no charge, and we'll clean your bins as soon as we can.

9. Changing or ending your plan

  • You can change your bins or how often we clean them by emailing us.
  • You can end a regular plan at any time by email. Please tell us at least 7 days before your next clean.
  • Pre-paid prices are discounted because you pay for 12 months up front. If you end a pre-paid plan early, we work out what the cleans you've had would have cost at our regular prices (£12 for a first clean, then £6 a clean every 4 weeks or £8 every 8 weeks; half that for food waste bins), take that from what you paid, and refund the rest. For example, if you pre-paid £60 for 12 cleans every 4 weeks and end after 6 cleans, 6 cleans at £6 come to £36, so we refund £24. If the cleans you've had come to more than you paid, there's nothing to refund and nothing more to pay.
  • We may end your plan with 30 days' notice, or straight away if invoices stay unpaid after your cleans are paused (section 6) or our team is treated abusively.

10. Our responsibilities

  • We'll carry out every clean with reasonable care and skill. If you're not happy with a clean, tell us within 24 hours and we'll put it right at your next clean, or sooner if we can.
  • If we damage your bin or property through our own fault, please tell us as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours, with a photo if possible, and we'll repair it or pay the reasonable cost of putting it right.
  • We're not responsible for bins that are already damaged or worn, for items left in the bin, or for damage we didn't cause.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your legal rights as a consumer.

11. Bins we won't clean

For the safety of our team, we won't clean a bin that contains:

  • clinical waste, needles or sharps
  • hazardous waste, such as chemicals, paint, oil or batteries
  • loose animal waste or a live pest infestation
  • waste left in the bin after collection day

If we find any of these, we'll leave that bin and tell you.

12. Your data

We use your name, address and contact details only to provide your cleans, invoice you and keep you informed about your account. We handle personal data in line with UK GDPR and never sell it. See our privacy notice.

13. Complaints

If something isn't right, email info@acebincleaning.co.uk and we'll reply within 5 working days.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll email you at least 30 days before changes affect your plan.

15. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in your local courts if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
